Alpha Prism

This installation rests on a model trained in Autolume on the 20-year archive of analog film portraits by photographer Kris Krüg. This collaborative project, conceptualized by Philippe Pasquier, with a model trained by Arshia Sobhan, and interactivity programmed by Lionel Ringenbach, consists of an ever-growing video loop between portraits of the audience. Photography of the audience is taken on-site and projected into Krüg’s portrait model. These projections are added to the video loop slowly morphing from one visage to another. Alpha Prism is a reflection on deepfakes and identity through the aesthetic lens of Last-name and a unified latent space of human visages.
